You Are Worthy of Self-Care & Healing

No matter your attachment style…

No matter what emotions you are feeling…

No matter how you parented today…

Or whether or not you reacted from within your Window of Tolerance…

I wanted to just give a gentle reminder that you are worthy of self-care.

You are worthy of healing.

By simply being human, you are worthy of self-care and healing.

You do not have to earn it.

You do not have to run yourself ragged first before allowing yourself that time of self-love.

You do not need to complete allllll the tasks on your to-do list first.

You do not need to completely empty your cup before you take time to fill it.

You do not need to feel guilty for practicing self-care.

You can still be in the process of learning to love yourself *and* also engage in self-care.

Regularly practicing self-care helps to increase our ability to handle stress, yet it is the first thing to go when we feel overwhelmed.

Some things I love to do for self-care:

- Sit quietly and drink tea out of my favorite mug

- Go to bed early (I’m talking 9 PM, people)

- Take a nap

- Wear a cozy sweatshirt and slippers

- Read a good book

- Go outside and enjoy nature

What would it be like for you to practice self-care everyday? Even just for 5 minutes?

Even the smallest change can make a difference.

So, what are you going to do for YOU today?
