My Specialities:

Perinatal Mental Health

Becoming a parent can be a beautiful and transformative experience. It can also be isolating and scary as hell. Issues related to Perinatal Mental Health are highly prevalent, and birth and postpartum traumas are more common than we think. As a Certified Perinatal Mental Health Specialist, I am a source of support for birth parents. If you are a therapist and seeking consultation for a Perinatal Mental Health client, click here for more information.

I have significant training and experience in working with trauma, and I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). EMDR has been proven to be an effective therapy for treating trauma and PTSD. So, whether it be birth or postpartum trauma, attachment trauma, childhood abuse, or the current collective trauma, EMDR is a way to find healing as well as to feel more present and safe in your body and life. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

EMDR Intensives is the same kind of therapy as listed above, but I also offer the option of organizing therapy sessions in 3 to 4-hour clusters. These clusters can be scheduled to suit your availability, such as once per week, and it allows for ongoing treatment while still achieving the benefits of an intensive approach. This works well over telehealth.

EMDR Intensives

Dr. Richard Schwartz developed the practice of Internal Family Systems, which is a non-pathologizing evidence-based psychotherapy that helps people heal by accessing and healing their protective and inner wounded parts. Whether it be looking at what manage and firefighter parts you may have, or what exiles those parts are protecting, we will work together to find healing and to access your sense of Self.

Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy

Eating disorders are painful, isolating mental health conditions. You do not have to be alone in this struggle, especially during this scary time of the pandemic. I have 10+ years of training and experience in the field of eating disorders, and I’m passionate about working with individuals seeking to have a more balanced and healing relationship with their body and food. One-on-One Yoga

Yoga is beneficial for both the mind and body, and research has shown that yoga can be an effective component in treating anxiety, depression, eating disorders, and trauma. I’m a Registered Yoga Teacher; specialized in trauma-informed yoga and perinatal yoga; and I utilize a hatha yoga approach in order to help you reconnect with your breath and your body. Individual Weekly Therapy

I’m a strong believer in the importance of having a safe space to be vulnerable and to have your voice be heard. I have a great deal of experience working with issues such as anxiety, depression, eating disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder, and unprocessed trauma. Therapy is a place where you can take steps towards your own healing and we can walk that journey together.
